The White sugar futures contract is traded on the Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange and serves as a hedging instrument for the Chinese agricultural sector, acting as the principal price benchmark for China’s domestic sugar market. In August 2026 the maximum reached 5411.00 CNY/tonne, the minimum was 5057.00 CNY/tonne, and the average stood at 5290.90 CNY/tonne. The contract is used for price-risk management in the world’s largest sugar-consuming market.
