The Interbank Equilibrium Interest Rate (TIIE) is an interbank interest rate which is calculated by the supply and demand of funds. Calculated by bids provided by Mexican banks, when supply and demand reach equilibrium, this is the rate which is set. This rate replaced the TIIP rate as the country’s benchmark.
